This sweet pendant features a soaring swallow, celebrating the sense of sound. A soaring swallow pendant suggests the delights of birdsong and celebrates the sense of sound. Inspired by Milagros or Ex-Voto tokens, this disc necklace hangs from our classic 16-18” chain, making it a sweet piece worn alone, or easily layered with other pieces. Sense of Nature

The visual inspiration for the collection came from Alex’s long-standing fascination with Milagros or Ex-Voto - metallic folk tokens used as religious offerings in Mexico, Latin America and Italy. Hand-carved quirky charms depict miniature body parts and ornate sacred heart motifs to form medallions. Alongside these fun elements, the senses are celebrated through intricate engravings symbolising touch, sight, sound, scent and taste.

Alex and his design team create all original designs by hand in sterling silver. An unusual approach to jewellery making which allows them to achieve our signature detail. When our jewellery goes into production, it is hand-finished by our team of skilled craftspeople in our London workshops, and Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. We're extremely proud that each and every Alex Monroe treasure is and will forever be handmade in England.
